How to Apply for Yard Sale Permit in Manchester

It’s that time of year, when everyone’s looking for something and yard sales are the best place to find it – as well as all kinds of other things you didn’t even know you needed.

If you are looking for a yard sale July 5, there’s still time left to make some of these stops, via Craigslist.

If you’re planning to have one of your own, read on for everything you need to know, from city fees to regulations for posting signs.


 

  • There is a $5 fee for residential yard sales.
  • Two sales per calendar year are allowed.
  • Download the Yard Sale Permit Application or contact the Planning and Community Development Department, One City Hall Plaza, Manchester, NH to receive an application by mail.   Please include a check or money-order, self-addressed, stamped envelope for return mailing.  The city does not accept debit or credit cards.

Please note: Per Section 9.07 of the City of Manchester Zoning Ordinance it is illegal to post any signs on utility poles or public right of way areas.
