Antoinette Ellis, 61: Crossing guard, beloved mother and grandmother

MANCHESTER, NH – Antoinette Denise Ellis, 61, passed away at her home on March 2, 2018. Born in Washington, DC, on August 5, 1956, she was the daughter of James Ellis Jr. and the late Marion (Jefferson) Ellis.

Born and raised in Washington, DC, Antoinette also lived in Orange and Richmond, VA as well as Baltimore, MD, before moving to Manchester, NH. She touched lives in every place she lived. Throughout her life, Antoinette worked in various schools helping children as both a school bus driver and crossing guard at Gossler Park Elementary. She cherished spending time in recent years with her son and grandchildren in Manchester, NH.

Antoinette leaves behind her son, Antonio D. Ellis; her sister, Erma Ellis-Stewart; her brothers, Daniel and Michael Ellis; her grandchildren, Cameron Jones, Amani Rascoe, DeVohn Ellis and Avriah Ellis; her nieces and nephews Sheleta Martin, Daniel, Tiffany, Kiara and Troy Ellis; as well as extended family members and friends.

Calling hours will be Friday, March 9 from 5-9 p.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH.
