MANCHESTER, NH – Police are investigating a second incident of gunshots fired this week.
On Sept. 25 at approximately 10:10 pm, Manchester Police responded to the area of Amherst and Ashland streets for the report of multiple gunshots. Officers located multiple casings in the area, which after further investigation, were found to be blank shell casings, in front of 393 Amherst St., and conducted a canvas of the area but were unable to locate any victims or property damage.
The incident appears to be isolated and there is no threat to public at this time. The matter remains under investigation by the Manchester Police Detective Division.
An incident Monday on Central Street also remains under investigation. In that case, police found that at least two homes in the area were struck by bullets after residents reported gunshots at about 7 p.m. Police did not indicate the two incidents were related.
