MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police, accompanied by the Drug Enforcement Administration, on May 5 arrested Preston Thorpe, 24, of 50 Sentinel Court, Manchester, at approximately 1 p.m. today.
Police detectives located Thorpe at the Best Western Hotel, located at 13500 South Willow St., after an anonymous caller provided information regarding his location. Thorpe was placed into custody without incident.
Police issued a national alert for Thorpe after a DEA raid of his apartment on April 28 turned up trace amounts of carfentanil. Thorpe had vacated the apartment prior to the raid.
Chief Nick Willard would like to thank all of the participating law enforcement agencies, both near and far, and the media for the efforts put forth to apprehend Preston Thorpe. He is currently charged with possession of a controlled drug (carfentanil) based on the arrest warrant signed last week.
Thorpe is also charged with a parole violation, so he will most likely appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on Monday May 8, 2017.
