MANCHESTER, NHThe Dana Center, world-class performing arts on the campus of Saint Anselm College, is proud to present The International Guitar Summit, on Friday, February 10 at 7:30 p.m.

The International Guitar Summit brings together the world’s foremost acoustic guitarists to perform their latest original compositions and exchange musical ideas in a public concert setting. Gypsy jazz legend Lulo Reinhardt, Django’s grandnephew, will be stepping in as guest host for International Guitar’s 17th year of touring, since founder Brian Gore is on hiatus from touring. Lulo, a spontaneous and spirited musician, is a third-generation master from Germany. He has retained the incredible Reinhardt soul, speed and dexterity and updated the repertoire.

This year Lulo will be joined by three new, incredibly dynamic musicians: Italy’s innovative contemporary guitarist Luca Stricagnoli; brilliant young Brazilian composer/performer Chrystian Dozza, and India’s ground-breaking slide guitarist Debashish Bhattacharya. Luca’s inventive “tapping” techniques have garnered over 7 million views on YouTube. Chrystian has earned many prestigious awards as one of Brazil’s leading young guitarists. Debashish has invented his own technique for playing classical Indian music on the slide guitar and collaborated with musicians from around the world.

The International Guitar Summit is North America’s premier mobile guitar festival. Sponsored by Acoustic Guitar Magazine, it is the only production of its kind to have grassroots origins. This showcase of sheer, beautiful musical talent promises to be unforgettable. Bring the family and enjoy an evening of acoustic guitar that will lift your soul!

Tickets for The International Guitar Summit are $33.75 for adults;$29.75 for seasoned citizens; $14.75 for any New Hampshire college/university students and children under age 14, and can be purchased through The Dana Center’s Box Office online at www.anselm.edu/dana or by calling (603) 641-7700.
