Annual “Fiesta de Musica” with drum & bugle corps action – and food trucks!

MANCHESTER, NH – Mark your fiesta calendar for July 18 so you don’t miss the 9th annual “Fiesta de Musica” Drum & Bugle Corps competition, sponsored by the Inspire Arts & Music Organization and hosted by Manchester’s Muchachos Drum & Bugle Corps.

It is the only stop in New Hampshire on the Drum Corps International 2015 Summer Music Tour. The show begins at 5:30 p.m. at Chabot-McDonough Field at Memorial High School.  Six Open Class and All Age corps will perform in competition and exhibition from New England, NewScreen Shot 2015-07-01 at 4.22.03 PM Jersey and Canada in this exciting outdoor, all ages, family event.

The competing corps include the Spartans from Nashua; the 7th Regiment from New London, CT.; and Les Stentors from Sherbrooke, Quebec.  Performing in exhibition will be the host corps, Muchachos, the Boston Crusaders Senior Corps and making its first ever appearance in New Hampshire will be the famed Bridgemen Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps from Bayonne, New Jersey.

New to the show this year will be a “drumline battle” between 4 of the performing corps, The drumlines of the Spartans and 7th Regiment will square off against each other followed by a competition between the Crusaders and the Bridgemen.  The two winning lines will then compete in a “new kids” versus “old kids”  battle with the winner being named the champions for the evening.

Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and a “Food Fiesta” featuring some of New England’s finest food trucks will begin serving culinary treats prior to the start of the competition.  Among the vendors will be The Whoopie (pie) Wagon; Wow Barbecue; Trolley Dogs, Away Cafe and Holly’s Kona Ice. Food prices are in addition to the cost of the music show. Tickets for the music show are priced at $15 general admission and $17 reserved seating and will be available at the box office on the afternoon of the show.
