MANCHESTER, NH — Amoskeag Health will be hosting two health insurance sign-up sessions for its patients and the public during the 2020 Open Enrollment period which runs November 1 through December 15. These sessions will assist those who need help with understanding the health insurance plans available through the Marketplace as well as the enrollment process. The dates and times for the health insurance enrollment sign-up sessions are as follows:

November 14, 2019
3-6 p.m.
145 Hollis Street, Manchester, NH 03101

December 12, 2019
3-6 p.m.
145 Hollis Street, Manchester, NH 03101

A Certified Application Counselor will assist applicants with signing up for Marketplace Insurance to ensure they receive all possible discounts and tax credits. No appointment is necessary and language assistance can be provided in person or through healthcare.gov.

“As a federally-qualified health center, Amoskeag Health and our patients have seen first-hand the importance and very positive impact of the Affordable Care Act and how it has impacted our state,” said Kris McCracken, CEO and President of Amoskeag Health. “Before the implementation of the Affordable Care Act in 2010, approximately 40 percent of our patients were uninsured and as a result, they had no means to access health insurance or access services. Since this implementation, that rate has dropped by half- which is amazing.”

Open Enrollment is happening now until December 15, 2019. For more information about health insurance plans available, visit healthcare.gov.
