BEDFORD, NH – Bedford Police Department arrested a Manchester man after he allegedly purposely struck another vehicle with his car after an altercation Thursday night.
Rediet Teferra, 26, of Manchester, was charged with reckless conduct: place another in danger (felony); and conduct after an accident (misdemeanor).
According to a police narrative, at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 6 Bedford Police received a call from a witness of the crash, which occurred at the intersection of Route 101 and Constitution Drive. The witness proceeded followed Teferra to the intersection of Route 114 and New Boston Road, where police intercepted the Teferra’s vehicle.
Through an initial investigation, police determined that Teferra intentionally struck another vehicle in the area of Route 101 and Constitution Drive while the vehicle’s operator was out of the car. Teferra and the driver of the other vehicle had allegedly gotten into an altercation while stopped at the light at Route 101 and Constitution Drive, and following the incident, Teferra allegedly left the scene, striking the other person’s vehicle in the process.
Teferra was arrested on scene, processed and released on $5,000 Personal Recognizance bail pending his appearance in Merrimack District Court on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 9 a.m.
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
