Alleged mall ‘peeper’ arrested on outstanding warrant for third ‘violation of privacy’ charge

MANCHESTER, NH – A man wanted for what would be a third charged of “violation of privacy,” for allegedly photographing and/or videotaping women in public dressing rooms and bathroom stalls, was arrested September 17, 2019,

Manchester Police arrested Travis Demers, 21, on an active warrant issued Aug. 21 for violation of privacy.

The arrest stems from an incident at the Mall of New Hampshire back in late July. Demers is suspected of going into the women’s bathroom and either videotaping or taking still pictures of women in the stalls.

Manchester Police continue to investigate the mall incident as well as another on August 9. Demer’s is also suspected of doing the same thing to a woman at the Savers on South Maple Street on August 2. In that case, it happened in a dressing room. Demers is scheduled to appear in Manchester Circuit Court on October 8, 2019.

Police are concerned that there may be more unknowing victims. If you believe you may have been in the women’s restroom at the Mall of NH on either July 27  between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. or August  9 before 5:30 p.m. and have concerns that you were recorded without permission please call Detective Ryan Heile at 603-792-5534 or email him at rheile@manchesternh.gov.
