Edgardo Pacheco, 26, of Manchester, was charged Aug. 3 by Manchester Police with one count of attempted burglary. Police found Pacheco lying on the floor inside Empire Food Mart, 422 Belmont Street, at about 4:30 a.m.
They were responding to a triggered alarm call.
Police say Pacheco appeared to be intoxicated and had trouble answering questions from police as to why he was inside the closed market at that hour. Police also found pry marks on the rear door and tools that appeared to have been used to make the pry marks.
As a result, Pacheco was charged for the attempted burglary.
