UPDATE 3:30 p.m.: The Attorney General’s Office issued a statement on Wednesday advising that Richard Verville, 71, of Londonderry, accused of shooting and killing Daniel Radideau on May 24, has died in a Massachusetts hospital of injuries sustained in what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in
Massachusetts to determine his cause and manner of death.


LONDONDERRY, NH (12:p.m.)– A Manchester man was the victim in a shooting May 24 in Londonderry.

Daniel Rabideau, 59, a service and repair man for City Fuel, of Manchester, has been identified as the victim of the shooting.

Police and SWAT surrounded the home of Richard Verville, 71,  on Currier Drive Tuesday afternoon, after a call was made for a welfare check at the residence.

New Hampshire Senior Attorney General Jeff Strelzin has confirmed that Verville shot and killed Mr. Rabideau and then attempted to commit suicide. Verville suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

“He’s in critical condition at a hospital in Massachusetts at this time,” Strelzin said.

The NH Attorney General’s office is leading the investigation. Read the press release below.
