MANCHESTER, NH — Breaking up is hard to do, especially when it’s with your Internet Service Provider because, well, they provide your Internet service — and everything that goes along with it.
But there’s a new WiFi provider in town, developed by a guy with a lot of street cred when it comes to Internet services and security.
Adored WiFi is the latest project for Jeremy Hitchcock, founder of Dyn and Minim. He wants to bring high-speed Internet service to city-dwellers that’s safe, secure and budget-friendly, with personalized support.
It’s something that he’s been kicking around for a while, as he and his wife, Liz, were feeling frustrated with their Internet provider. Unlike the rest of us, Hitchcock is in a position to solve the technical challenges of underperforming WiFi service that leave the rest of us shaking our fists.
With Adored WiFi, Hitchcock is ready to disrupt another industry.
He’s a start-up guy who knows how to scale, and that’s the plan. For starters, Adored WiFi will beam from equipment located at the Pembroke and Brady Sullivan buildings to businesses and residences within the 03101 Zipcode. The service will initially be limited to the downtown area, with plans to grow.
For now, Adored WiFi has launched a website with the basics, plus an eight-question survey they’re hoping will help them to understand best how to serve the WiFi-loving public, and what their current “relationship” problems are with their in-home Internet service provider. Those who fill out the survey can also get on the wait-list for when the service goes live.
According to Adored WiFi website, they aim to provide honest, straight-forward service with no “unnecessary bundles” starting at $60 from “your local, accommodating ISP provider who is looking to inform you and help you cut the cord on your underperforming, big-name service providers.”
