8 arrested after showing up to Bedford home with knives, pipes and loaded gun

BEDFORD, NH – Eight people were arrested Friday night for causing a “riot-like” situation outside of a Bedford residence – including two people from Manchester, according to Bedford Police.

On April 22 at approximately 8 p.m., Bedford Police received a 911 call from a resident of a home on Curtis Court reporting that at least eight people were involved in an ongoing fight on the property.

Screen Shot 2016-04-23 at 8.27.36 PMPolice arrived to find 13 people gathered in the driveway and the road, some armed with metal pipes, knives and a handgun. A preliminary investigation revealed that eight of the people had gathered outside of the residence shortly before police arrived to confront the tenants of the home.

The suspect responsible for orchestrating the assembly, identified as Jeffrey Riley, 23, of Bedford, was armed with a loaded handgun and was wearing a ballistic vest. He was arrested and charged with felony riot and felonious use of body armor. He was released on $4,000 personal recognizance and is scheduled to appear at the 9th Circuit Court – District Division – Merrimack at a later date.

The following people were also arrested:

• Anthony Perkins-Brainard, 24, of Hudson, charged with felony riot and felony criminal threatening with the use of deadly weapon. He was released on $4,000 personal recognizance.

• Kevin Hardy, 43, of Manchester, charged with felony riot. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance.

• Christopher Lombard, 37, of Derry, charged with misdemeanor riot and possession of a controlled drug. He was released on $1,500 person recognizance.

• Rachel Hamilton, 26, of Hudson, charged with misdemeanor riot. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance.

• Jeremy Champagne, 23, of Bedford, charged with misdemeanor riot. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance.

• Jason Wildes, 40, of Salem, charged with misdemeanor riot. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance.

• Alexandra Boule, 22, of Manchester, charged with misdemeanor riot. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance.

“Fortunately, police were able to de-escalate this situation before anyone was injured,” Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski said. “At this point, we are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the situation.”

The Bedford Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident and will not be disclosing further details at this time. Anyone who has additional information regarding this incident should contact the police station at 603-472-5113.
