HOOKSETT, NH – A serious accident on Bypass 28 in Hooksett June 30 left one person seriously injured and shut down the roadway for about three hours.

On Thursday at  approximately 8:12 a.m. Hooksett Police and Fire Rescue responded to the area of 108 Londonderry Turnpike to investigate a head-on motor vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer and a car.

The operator of the car, Gary Roy, 45, of Hooksett, was transported to the Elliot Hospital. The operator of the tractor-trailer, Charles Anderson, 60, of Goffstown, was not injured.

New Hampshire State Police Car Unit was asked to assist with the accident scene.

Due to the volume of emergency service vehicles and investigation on scene Londonderry Turnpike was shut down for approximately 3 Hours.

At this time the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
