3 recounts set for Nov. 17 after close races in municipal election

MANCHESTER, NH – Three close races in Manchester will be decided by recount:

 Ward 3 – Alderman: Tim Baines won by 7 votes over incumbent Alderman Pat Long

Ward 6 – Alderman: Incumbent Elizabeth Moreau won by 25 votes over Peter Macone.

Ward 2 – School Committeeman: David Scannell won by 20 votes over incumbent Debra Gagnon Langton

The ballots cast for these offices will be recounted on Nov. 17, 2017, at the Manchester Health Department (Carol Rines Center – rear entrance) beginning at 9 a.m.  Wards 3 and 6 will be counted simultaneously followed by Ward 2 School Committee seat due to room constraints.

Only observers chosen by the candidates and their legal counsel will be permitted within the designated recount area until all recounts have been concluded.
