MANCHESTER, NH – Three people are in custody, charged with kidnapping – with more charges likely to follow – after police discovered a situation involving a woman being held against her will at a Union Street address on Monday.

Manchester Police responded to a loud noise complaint at 455 Union Street approximately 5:25 a.m. on Jan. 29. A man answered the door, but the officers soon realized something was amiss when they observed a distressed female inside of the apartment. The officers spoke with the 49-year-old victim and three other individuals inside of the apartment.

The three people arrested by police allegedly held the victim against her will inside of her own apartment and also physically assaulted her for a period of time throughout the weekend. The trio was charged with kidnapping, but additional charges may be added pending the completion of the investigation. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries at an area hospital, but has since been released.

The victim was familiar with the three people arrested inside of her apartment. They were identified as: Ernesto Mateo, 28, Holly Crawford, 33, and Jada Johnson, 21, all of Manchester.

Bail has not been set, so no court date is available at this time.

Editor’s note: The story has been updated to correct the name of Jada Johnson, who initially gave police a false identity.
