MANCHESTER, NH — On June 1, 2019, Manchester Police charged two men allegedly involved in a fight at Veterans Park.
According to a police narrative, Officers Pittman, Charest and Irwin responded to a report of a fight at approximately 9:37 a.m. outside 64 Merrimack St., involving several males and possible weapons.
When the officers arrived they detained several people in the area matching the description of the men reportedly involved. Through investigation at the scene, the officers learned that a fight that began outside a Merrimack Street apartment building spilled across the street into Veterans Park where Joshua Peckham, 31, brandished a knife.
Peckham then allegedly acquired a piece of rebar and struck both Norman Johonnett, 23, who suffered minor injuries.
Norman Johonnett was charged with riot (a class B felony); Joshua Peckham was charged with second-degree assault and criminal threatening (class B felony).
