MANCHESTER, NH  – The Manchester Police Department is investigating four separate shooting incidents over the weekend. Neighbors contacted police after hearing several gunshots outside of the Laurel Street apartment. Responding officers located several shell casings, but did not locate any property damage or an injured party. There is no suspect information in this incident, so if you have information regarding this incident, please contact the Manchester Police Detective Unit at 792-5500 and reference MPD Case # 18-15786.

The next incident occurred approximately 11:55 p.m. on October 13, 2018 in the area of Hayward Street and Batchelder Avenue. The last gun-related call for service took place at approximately 5:10 p.m. on October 14, 2018 in the area of 30 Orange Street. A 34 year-old male contacted police after he was assaulted by an unknown individual. The Manchester resident said he was struck with a firearm on several occasions during an altercation with the suspect, described as a white male, approximately 6-feet-tall, with a thin build and a chin strap-style beard. He said the suspect had blue eyes, brown hair and was last seen wearing a black coat with jeans. He entered a 1990s black four-door sedan, which he believed to be a Honda Accord or Civic immediately after the gun discharged.

He said they got into a verbal altercation before the suspect struck him across the face with a firearm, which discharged during the assault. Fortunately, he was not stuck by the stray bullet. Officers located one spent shell casing in the area where the assault took place.
