3-car crash on Chestnut Street sends 4 to hospital as police investigate cause

MANCHESTER, NH –  Members of the Manchester Police Department, Manchester Fire Department and AMR Ambulance responded to a serious motor vehicle crash involving three vehicles approximately 10 a.m. on July 11 at the intersection of Chestnut  and Manchester streets.

The operator of vehicle one allegedly crashed into two separate vehicles, which caused the two occupants of vehicle two and the lone occupant of vehicle three to be transported to the hospital along with the man operating vehicle one.

One of the occupants of vehicle two sustained serious injuries but the extent of the injuries is unknown at this time. The other three people are currently being treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries at area hospitals.

The Manchester Police Traffic Unit is actively investigating the crash. Criminal charges are forthcoming for the operator of Unit One, who appears to be at fault for the crash.
