They alleged the assailant was armed with a baseball bat while wearing a black ski mask, blue shirt and jeans. The attacker began striking the 41-year old man with the baseball bat, so the 41-year old female intervened. The man was struck several times in the head, face and back as the female unsuccessfully attempted to take the bat from the assailant. She sustained minor injuries to her head. Both victims refused medical treatment.

A 16-year old male exited the apartment and ultimately took the bat from the assailant. However, he was struck several times in the process, which caused injuries to his hand and wrist. He was treated at a local hospital for his non-life threatening injuries. The attacker fled prior to police arrival, and was last seen on foot.

Members of the Manchester Police Detective Unit are investigating the assault, which does not appear to be random. Investigators believe the assailant is known to both adult victims, so they will continue to follow-up on several leads.
