Halloween: Not just for kids anymore – revelers will spend $8.4 billion for a scary good time this year

Consumers spent over $6.9 billion on Halloween last year (yes…with a ‘B’), and this year’s spending is expected to go over $8.48 billion. In perspective, consumers spent upwards of $626.1 billion during the holiday season last year. For the love of Halloween

I step inside and I am immediately transformed back to the days of my early childhood. It’s Halloween in three rooms. I mean, really Halloween. Some people decorate like this for Christmas. Your eyes go everywhere so you don’t miss a thing. I am introduced and then shown how everything comes to life. It was magical. Things are lit, witches are moving, skeletons are dancing and a cat is shaking his head. I am in awe looking around and I cannot believe how beautiful it is. I think to myself, “this is a lot of work, they must really love Halloween.” I am told they love Christmas, too. Wow and double wow. READ MORE

Monarchs Wipe-Out Cyclones, 7-3

The Manchester Monarchs were dominant on special teams in a 7-3 victory over the Cincinnati Cyclones on Friday night at SNHU Arena. The Monarchs converted on four power-plays, went five-for-five on the penalty kill and scored their first short-handed goal of the season in the win.
