The Manchester holiday ornament tradition continues with this beautiful ornament celebrating the Carpenter Memorial Library’s centennial. The building was a gift to the City of Manchester by Frank P. Carpenter as a memorial to his wife, Elenora Blood Carpenter, and was dedicated on November 18, 1914.
Each year the Manchester Historic Association produces an original limited edition brass-plated ornament that celebrates Manchester’s history. These unique, detailed ornaments are handcrafted in the United States by the same company that makes the annual White House Holiday Ornament. They make perfect Christmas tree decorations or gifts for the holidays and for many other occasions. Each comes in a decorative box. These ornaments are for sale at the Millyard Museum Shop and at the Carpenter Memorial Library, available for $21.95.
The Museum Shop also carries several ornaments from past years, including Gill Stadium, the Amoskeag Locomotive, City Hall, the Amoskeag Manufacturing Company, Ash Street School, Manchester Trolley, and Saint Marie’s Church. Visit our website for more details.
