MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police are investigating robberies Monday night at two local convenience stores, one of them by a man with a gun.
On Dec. 28 at approximately 7:55 p.m. Manchester Police were called to Gosselins Superette, 706 Somerville St., for a reported armed robbery. The clerk told police a man entered the store and displayed a firearm before demanding cash. The clerk complied with the demands and the robber fled the store on foot with cash, last seen heading west on Somerville Street. The robber is described as a short male with a husky build and light skin. He was wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans, gray-and-white sneakers and a surgical mask.
At about 10:30 p.m. police were dispatched to Shell Gas Station, 887 Hanover St., where a clerk told police two men entered the store and approached the counter. While at the counter one of the men demanded cash and cigarettes. The clerk complied with the demands. The other robber attempted to grab the cash register. No weapon was shown. The two fled the store on foot. Both are described as white males between 20-30 years old, both approximately 5-foot-10 inches tall. The first subject was wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans and dark shoes. The second subject had a short beard and was also wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans, but with light-colored shoes.
