MANCHESTER, NH – No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday involving a Manchester Police cruiser.

Officer Mark Harrington was operating a fully-marked police cruiser on Jan. 15 at approximately 5:15 p.m., heading south on Beech Street, when a vehicle proceeded eastbound from Central Street, across Beech Street.

The other vehicle, a 1997 Mercury, was operated by James Vaillancourt, 26, of Manchester. According to police, Vaillancourt failed to yield to the right of way as he crossed the intersection, which caused the crash with the 2011 Crown Victoria.

Officer Harrington sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment on scene. His cruiser sustained front end damage, but remained operational. Vaillancourt also refused medical treatment on scene and drove away with a verbal warning for failing to yield.
