1 dead, another injured, after shooting on Sagamore Street

MANCHESTER, NH – One person is dead and another was injured in an early-morning shooting incident at a Sagamore Street residence.

Police say at approximately 3 a.m. on March 14 officers were dispatched to 219 Sagamore Street for a reported shooting incident. One of two people injured in the incident has died, police said. Another person suffered what appeared to be a stab wound, according to police.

Those involved have all been identified by police, who consider the shooting an isolated incident which poses no threat to our community.

Detectives from the Manchester Police Department are being assisted by the Attorney General’s office as they investigate the circumstances around the shooting.

The identity of the shooting victim is being withheld until his next of kin can be notified, according to the Attorney General’s office.  An autopsy will be performed by the New Hampshire Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.
