JUPITER, FLA. – Donald Trump’s campaign manager, New Hampshire resident Corey Lewandowski, was charged March 29 by Jupiter Florida Police with battery in connection with a March 8 incident involving an alleged assault of a reporter.

Jupiter Police Chief Frank Kitzerow told The Palm Beach Post that Lewandowski turned himself in to authorities after a warrant was issued charging him with misdemeanor battery. The charge is related to allegations that he forcibly grabbed reporter Michelle Fields by the arm during a conference at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter.

Lewandowski is scheduled to appear May 4 in Palm Beach County Circuit Court.

In November 2015 Lewandowski was interviewed by Mike Morin for a Manchester Ink Link podcast about his rise through the political ranks to the “best job in politics” as GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s top aide, which you can listen to here. During the interview, Lewandowski talked about his reputation as a “good guy and a bomb-thrower.”
