MANCHESTER, NH – Gregory Worthley, 28, was sentenced in Hillsborough County Superior Court North on March 22 for his part in a lengthy sex-trafficking case in which two others have already been sentenced.

On May 25, 2015 the Manchester Police Department and ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) began a joint investigation into allegations of sex trafficking in Manchester. The subsequent investigation led to information that several victims had been forced to trade sexual acts for money by being physically abused, threatened, and having heroin regulated by their traffickers. This investigation led to the arrest of three people, all of whom were charged with trafficking in persons contrary to NH RSA 633:7. Two of the individuals, Nathanial Clark, 37, and Amber Ford,  27, have already been sentenced in this case.

Worthley, who was residing at 25 Laval St. Manchester, was sentenced March 22 in Hillsborough County Superior Court North for his role in this case. He pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in persons and was sentenced to 2-4 years stand committed at the NH State Prison on the first count and 5-10 years suspended sentence on the second count.

Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Etre of HSI Boston states, “Sex traffickers target vulnerabilities, such as drug addiction, in order to recruit and to overcome a victim’s will.  Too often, these criminals will continue to control and exploit their victims through brutal force and by maintaining an environment of fear within their victims. HSI commends the continued partnership from the Manchester Police Department and the Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office to combat this vile result of the opioid epidemic.”

Manchester Police Department and HSI are thankful for the medical and social service partners who helped the victims in this case and we commend the survivors who found the strength to stand up to their traffickers.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant Hillsborough County Attorney Greg Lenti with the assistance of Victim/Witness Advocate Merrill Beauchamp.
