That was fast! ‘Fugitive of the Week’ Carpio arrested by MPD

MANCHESTER, NHMiguel Carpio, wanted by U.S. Marshals as a fugitive from justice, was arrested without incident June 17 by Manchester Police in an apartment at 157  Townhouse Road.

Detective Dan Doherty and the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force made the arrest at approximately 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

Carpio was wanted on multiple warrants out of Waldoboro, Maine. Carpio and two of his brothers were allegedly involved in an armed home invasion earlier this year. The Maine warrants include; Robbery, Criminal Restraint and Residential Robbery with a Gun.

Carpio’s two brothers were arrested last month for their involvement in the armed home invasion. Carpio will appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester Thursday. He is charged with fugitive from justice relating to the outstanding Maine arrest warrant.

This arrest was made after investigators received several leads based on the “Fugitive of the Week” feature combined with the hard work of a lot of investigators.

Carpio will be held at the Hillsborough County Jail pending his initial court appearance and eventual return to Maine to face theseserious charges.
