MANCHESTER, NH – Police arrested a man who was allegedly squatting inside a Hanover Street apartment with a female companion.

Glen Peace, 45, of Goffstown, was arrested and charged with burglary and resisting arrest/detention based on the following police narrative:

Officers were called to 263 Hanover St. at 9 a.m. Oct. 20 by the property owner, Virginia O’Neil, who told police that she discovered a man and woman inside one of the apartments when she arrived to show perspective tenants the apartment.

Officer Steve Orr was speaking to Ms. O’Neil when he observed two people running from the apartment. He identified himself as a police officer and ordered the pair to stop, but Peace continued running toward Manchester Street and School Lane. Officer Orr caught up with him on School Lane and placed him under arrest.

Peace was also booked on an outstanding warrant from Goffstown Police Department.  He was placed on a 72-hour hold for a probation/parole violation, so he will appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on October 21, 2015.

Police were unable to locate and identify the woman who was with Peace.
