Hanover Street Shell convenience store was robbed early Wednesday.

MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester Police responded to the Hanover Street Shell Gas Station on May 18 at 4 a.m. for an armed robbery. The clerk advised Officer Erik Slocum that an unknown male subject entered the store while brandishing a knife and demanding cash and cigarettes from him.

The clerk told police a white male, approximately 5-foot-3 inches tall, regular build and in his late teens or early 20s entered the store at 3:55 a.m. dressed in all black while holding a knife with a three-inch blade. The assailant demanded cash from the register, so the clerk complied and handed him an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect walked behind the counter and removed several cartons of cigarettes, as well as the clerk’s iPod touch, which was on the counter, as well as the clerks backpack.

The robber walked toward the door as the clerk pleaded with him to drop his backpack. The man left the backpack at the door and walked westerly on Hanover Street. Mercer said the man was wearing sunglasses, a black flat brim style hat, black jeans, black sweatshirt with red design, black gloves, black sneakers and a black bandana.
