Police investigate armed robbery at Crosstown Variety

Manchester PD LogoPolice are looking for two men who robbed a clerk Aug. 16 at Crosstown Variety store, on the city’s West Side.

At about 10 p.m. Officer Justin Maguire responded to an armed robbery call for at the store,  located at 270 Amory Street. The clerk on duty, Imtiaz Saeed, told police he was robbed by two masked men demanding cash, both armed with handguns, who fled the store just a short time before police arrived.

Police have released the following descriptions:

A caucasian male, approximately 5’7 to  -5’9 inches tall,  wearing a black sweatshirt with a possible green sports shirt underneath, black pants and tennis shoes.  He was wearing a black ski mask that had eye and nose cutouts.  He was armed with a black handgun, which he held in his left hand.

A male of unknown ethnicity, same approximate height, armed with a handgun in his right hand, wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans and possibly wearing boots. Both subjects took cash and fled the area on foot.

Police did not have any store surveillance images to release.
