Police SWAT take barricaded subject into custody from Krakow Ave. apartment

MANCHESTER, NH – [1 p.m.] MPD SWAT deployed chemical gas into the residence, and reported that the barricaded subject was on the floor covered with a blanket. Police were able to take the subject into custody and are now ventilating the apartment. Initial investigation, post-arrest, indicated no evidence of a drug lab.

We’ll bring you details about the situation once the investigation is completed.

[12:45 p.m.] Police remain in the scene and are trying to negotiate with the barricaded subject, described as “agitated.”


[11 a.m.] Police and fire crews are on the scene at 24 Krakow Ave. dealing with a “possible hazardous situation” involving a despondent individual who is barricaded and may have threatened neighbors, first-responders, according to Manchester Police Lt. Brian O’Keefe.

Police road blockades are in place in the area, including Willow Street at Silver Street.

No other details were immediately available.
