SALEM – If you’ve got a camera and an urge to up your game, it’s time to register for a one-day photojournalism workshop, Jan. 27, 2015, from 7:30-9 p.m., at First Congregational Church of Salem, UCC, 15 Lawrence Road, in Salem.

This workshop is brought you by longtime photojournalists Allegra Boverman and Jim Vaiknoras, of Photos 360.

Boverman and Vaiknoras are both professional journalists and accomplished photographers who have worked for the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune family of newspapers and magazines.

They hold workshops on photographic technique with their business, Photos 360.

About the workshop: Participants will  choose from a few different kinds of assignments in advance and get a little time to work on them. You would choose your 6-8 favorite images (which you will need to email in advance, or place on Dropbox/Box prior to the class).

Discussion and focus on storytelling technique and other important aspects of photojournalism. Registration deadline is Jan. 18. When you register via Eventbrite you will choose your assignment.

Cost is $45 per person. Class size is limited to eight students.
