MANCHESTER, NHAdrian Maas, 22, of Nashua, wanted on an outstanding warrant, was arrested Feb. 5 by Manchester Police, charged with possession of heroin after a car he was a passenger in ran a red light.

Officer Mark Harrington stopped a vehicle in which Maas was a passenger at 5:30 p.m. on February 5 in the area of Bridge and Chestnut streets after observing the car  proceed through a red traffic light.

Officer Harrington observed the female driver and a male occupant as he approached the car on Pine Street, near Pearl Street. The passenger originally provided a false name, but eventually identified himself accurately. That is when police discovered an active warrant out of Hillsborough County on Maas, so he was placed into custody and transported to MPD.

Officer Harrington located .5 grams of heroin inside of his jacket during a search incident to arrest. He was charged with possession of a controlled drug and will appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on February 8, 2016.

Maas was arrested in April for possession of heroin.
