MANCHESTER, NH – Families in Transition (FIT) in Manchester recently promoted Pamela Hawkes to Director of Resource Development.
Pamela Hawkes started working for FIT in 2008 as the Coordinator of Volunteers and In-Kind Donations. She eventually took over the role of Donor Relations Manager where she oversaw relationships with current and potential donors of FIT. In her new role as Director of Resource Development, she will continue to work with FIT’s major donors as well as take on the responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the fundraising and volunteer portions of the Resource Development Department.
Families in Transition is a nonprofit organization that provides safe, affordable housing and comprehensive social services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, enabling them to gain self-sufficiency and respect. FIT also owns and operates two thrift stores in Manchester and Concord, NH, which serve as the economic engine to help pay for services they provide.
