MANCHESTER, NHOld Sol Music Hall, a proposed Manchester concert venue and community center, will mark the Summer Solstice on Monday, June 20 by mobilizing volunteers to package 20,000+ ready-to-cook meals to benefit local families experiencing food insecurity, followed by a free concert in the park.

Dubbed the Old Sol Summer Serve-a-thon & Concert, this 10-hour service marathon will culminate in a free show at Manchester’s Victory Park featuring a high-energy set by Bella’s Bartok, rising stars on the regional touring circuit. The daylong event is being produced by Old Sol Music Hall in partnership with Intown Manchester and EndHungerNE.

While the majority of volunteer spots for this year’s Summer Serve-a-thon have already been claimed, Old Sol still needs cash donations to purchase supplies for the meal packaging service project. A donation of $25 provides the raw ingredients for 100 meals, which will be donated to local nonprofit organizations and then distributed to individuals and families in need. To make a donation or to learn more, please visit OldSol.org/Serveathon or email Anna Caron at acaron@oldsol.org.
