Mom with 3-year-old in car arrested as she arrived at park for alleged drug deal

MANCHESTER, NH – A woman was arrested at Howe Park on Aug. 10 after members of the Special Enforcement Division interrupted an arranged drug deal. Detectives learned Ann Marie Martinez, 26, of 136 Lowell St., was arriving at Howe Park with both crack-cocaine and heroin to sell to another individual. Her 3-year-old was in the back seat, police said.

Martinez arrived in a 1999 Honda Civic and parked on Howe Street at Lincoln Street. Detectives spoke with her about the arranged sale of drugs as her 3-year old daughter sat in the back seat of her vehicle. She was allegedly in possession of  7.8 grams of heroin and 3.8 grams of crack cocaine, and an additional 1.2 grams of heroin was found in the center console of her vehicle.

Martinez was charged with two counts possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute; and endangering the welfare of a child. Her daughter was released to a family member while Martinez was arrested without incident and transported to police headquarters. She is set to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on August 11, 2016.
