MANCHESTER, NH – On October 5, McDonald’s Restaurants of New Hampshire are spearheading an effort to help raise $50,000 for the New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police.  From 4 to 8 p.m., McDonald’s customers can lend their support by purchasing a meal at their local New Hampshire McDonald’s.  A percentage of that evening’s sales will be donated directly to the New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police.  All 57 McDonald’s locations in the state of New Hampshire are participating.

The money raised through this event will assist in providing high-quality law enforcement training and the continued development of the profession of law enforcement toward the police’s efforts in supporting the communities they serve.

“I am extremely excited about this fundraiser because the Police Department plays a critical role in maintaining the safety of our state.  McDonald’s believes in supporting our local communities and giving back to organizations in the areas where we operate, said Michael Gambino, McDonald’s Owner/Operator of three Manchester locations – Second Street, South Willow Street and Hanover Street.

During the October 5 fundraiser, a local area police officer and a cruiser will be on site at each McDonald’s from 4 to 8 p.m.  The officers will meet and greet families and children in addition to providing educational tips and information to customers.  McDonald’s will also recognize several officers throughout the state who go above and beyond in the line of duty, as well as those officers who are highly invested in the community.

The New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police is a 501 (c) (6) organization with a focus on public safety and elevating the standards of police service and the advancement of the highest ethical and professional standards.

“The New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police welcomes our new partnership with McDonald’s. Together we believe that by interacting with our communities and its children, we can offer insight into law enforcement and the challenges law enforcement face today. It is through this initiative that McDonald’s is providing an important platform on which we can build a bridge between the police and the communities we serve,” Pat Sullivan, Executive Director New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police said.
