MANCHESTER, NHGlendi at St. George, 650 Hanover Street, is happening on September 18, 19, and 20. Music, activities, candidates, and food! Glendi is known for its food and this year’s menu covers all the favorites, such as baked lamb shank dinner ($16), pastichio ($11), and Greek meatballs in a Glendi secret tomato sauce ($9). Hours are Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. (food service ends at 9:30 p.m.) and on Sunday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. You know the drill.

Bar hopping and need a quick bite? Portland Pie Company is now offering $1 slices from 9 p.m.to close, dine-in only.

Tailgate party for the Patriots season opener on September 10 against Pittsburgh at The Farm Bar & Grille. All-you-can-eat grill, patio dining, prizes and lots of drink specials. Tickets are $20 and $35 per person.

Don’t miss the Boston Typewriter Orchestra at the Currier After Hours on September 3. The wildly popular BTO shows have elements of performance, comedy and satire. The Currier’s Winter Garden Café will be serving its full menu during the performance, which includes Tuscan shrimp salad ($12), hot ham and Swiss ($8.50) and a soup of the day. There will be a cash bar featuring a selection of fine wines and beers. Free with museum general admission.

Speaking of the Foundry, ‘like’ their Facebook page for exclusive opportunities to dine in the private wine room. Periodically Executive Chef Matt Provencher will prepare a six-course, wine paired dinner for one party of four. The price is $125 per person, of which $100 is donated to a local charity. The ‘Wickedly popular’ Wicked Wine & Brew Fest is of the biggest and wine and beer events in New Hampshire and is being held on Saturday, September 12 from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Funway Park, 454 Charles Bancroft Hwy, Litchfield. New England vintners and brewers, local craftsman and vendors, live and live entertainment. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, $5 for children and designated drivers.

Get your tickets for the Taste of Downtown on Wednesday, September 16 from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 ahead of time, $20 the day of, and are available at the Intown Manchester office at 1000 Elm Street, or online here.
