MANCHESTER, NH – Don’t miss a beat in the local food scene. The dog days of summer brings lobster rolls, PokeStops and rolls right into a September full of food events.

Nothing like the Game Boy game you remember. Word is Muse Thai Bistro is a PokeStop and to honor the popular game they’ve created Pokeball maki sushi ($12). This clever roll is made with tuna, white tuna and raspberry infused sushi rice. Muse also has uni and toro on special, ask your server.

A lobster roll is the ultimate summer treat. Clam Haven in Derry is serving a lobster roll for $14.50, $16 with fries and onion rings. Note, the restaurant’s hours in August are Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m.- 8:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.

…and in Manchester, The Farm is serving lobster rolls, two for $22 and a lobster roll at Goldenrod is priced at $10.99.

Check out the new Grand Charolais Room. Bedford Village Inn is hosting an Able Ebenezer beer dinner on September 9 at 6 p.m. There will be a cocktail hour with a chef attended taco bar and passed hors d’oeuvres and a four Course menu paired with beer. The menu includes grilled filet of beef.  Priced is $95 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservation required, call (603)472-2001.

Fun sushi specials too. Sun Shui Asian Cuisine in Bedford has a new drink menu and has added happy hour from 3 – 6 p.m. daily. Check out their signature Mai Tai.

Before it’s over…August 30 is the last Tuesday for Oyster Riot at Hanover Street Chophouse bar starting at 4:30 p.m. Treat yourself to $1 oysters on the half shell, or three baked stuffed oysters or three fried oysters for $5. Get there early because word is the bar fills up fast.

New late-night eats in Concord. Red Arrow Diner hopes to open a 24-hour location at 110-116 Loudon Road in Concord. A public hearing before the planning board is scheduled for September 21.
