MANCHESTER, NH – Officers were called to the area of 349 Hanover Street at 3:45 a.m. on November 26, 2014 for the report of a man allegedly entering motor vehicles. Upon arrival, Officer Casey Finn spoke with the caller who stated he observed a man exit the rear of his pickup truck moments before police arrived on scene. He described the subject as a white male wearing a black trench coat and black boots. He stated the subject had damaged his vehicle while prying open the rear window to his pick-up truck’s hard shell cap. He did not believe any items were taken.

Moments later, Officer Dan Golia located a male subject on Manchester Street, east of Lincoln Street. The man allegedly concealed himself between two parked vehicles as the police cruiser drove past him. Officer Golia identified and ultimately arrested Shawn Dionne, 45, no fixed address, and charged him with criminal mischief and prowling/loitering.

It is not known if Dionne has been involved with any other recent thefts from motor vehicles and has not been charged with theft at this time, police said. Dionne was scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court of Manchester on November 26th, 2014.
