MANCHESTER, NH – On Aug. 8 at approximately 12:27 a.m. Manchester Police responded to what first came in as an argument between neighbors in the area of 34 School St.
As officers were responding, multiple calls started coming in reporting gun shots in the same area and a disturbance in the alley, between 72 Second St. and 34 School St. The disturbance involved several people who seem to all know one another, including alleged shooter Marcos Nieves, 39, of 101 Ash St., and his victim, who was transported to Catholic Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury.
Nieves was charged with first degree assault; reckless conduct and felon in possession of a firearm. He is scheduled to appear in District Court Aug. 10.
The investigation remains open. Anyone with further information should contact Manchester Police Detective Division at 792-5500, or call Manchester Police Crimeline at 624-4040 and provide your anonymous tip.
