Man charged with 2 armed robberies after Walgreen’s manager recognizes his face

MANCHESTER, NH – A city man was arrested on Sept. 27 in connection with a pair of armed robberies, after a manager at Walgreen’s recognized him from surveillance photos circulated by police. As a result, Randall Young, 52, of Manchester, was charged in connection with the Sept. 13 robberies of CVS and Mr. Mike’s.

On Tuesday, Manchester Police Det. Justin Mangum responded to Walgreen’s at 2:40 p.m. and located Young, who was in the store. He was summoned by the store manager, who called about a man she recognized as the individual who had robbed two stores at knifepoint on Sept. 13. S

The first robbery occurred at 12:40 a.m. on September 13, 2016 at Mr. Mike’s, located at 1932 Wellington Road. The second incident occurred on the same date around 6:12 a.m. at the CVS located at 271 Mammoth Road. The man allegedly threatened the clerk with a knife in both incidents.

Several tipsters identified the suspect as Randall Young, 52 of Manchester. On Sept. 27, the store clerk recognized him while he was shopping inside of the store, so she immediately contacted police.

Detective Mangum arrested Young without incidcent. He is charged with two counts of robbery and is set to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on September 28, 2016.
