MANCHESTER, NH – Families in Transition (FIT), a Manchester, Concord, and Dover, NH, based homeless services provider, raised $68,000 at their second I AM ONE Fashion Extravaganza event in Manchester on Friday, November 18, 2016. Funds raised at the event will be used towards programming at their Family Willows Substance Use Treatment Center, housing for homeless families, therapeutic services for homeless preschoolers, and for basic necessities for the organization’s participants.
“It was amazing to see the room filled with three hundred plus FIT supporters,” said FIT Founder and President, Maureen Beauregard. “We are grateful to those who supported, attended, and modeled donated clothing at the event. The money raised today will go a long way in helping to pay for our housing, programming and social services.”
Featured at the event were local “celebrity” models including Mayor Ted Gatsas from the City of Manchester; Chief Daniel Goonan from the Manchester Fire Department; Keke Vencill from NH1 News, Demetria and Alex Anagnost of Anagnost Companies, Dan Heying from Citizens Bank and Lisabritt Solsky of Wellsense Health Plan. All models wore clothes that were donated by individuals and businesses. The clothing will be for sale at the organizations OutFITters Thrift Stores in Manchester and Concord, NH.

Families in Transition is a nonprofit organization that provides safe, affordable housing and social services to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, enabling them to gain self-sufficiency and respect. FIT also owns and operates two thrift stores in Manchester and Concord, NH which serve as economic engines to help pay for services that FIT provides.
