MANCHESTER, NH – A Manchester man was arrested July 9 as part of a major heroin bust in Lawrence, Mass.
The Eagle-Tribune reports reports Alexander Dume-Santana, 35, of Manchester was one of 23 people arrested in a drug investigation that netted nearly 7 kilos of heroin with a street value of $500,000, plus more than $300,000 in cash and two guns.
Dume-Santana, wanted as a fugitive from justice out of New Hampshire on an unrelated charge, was faces new charges of trafficking, possession of heroin and reckless operation of a motor vehicle. He was arraigned July 10 in Lawrence District Court and held without bail.
According to the Eagle-Tribute report, Dume-Santana was pulled over by police for driving a GMC Sierra pickup without a license. Detectives found five kilos of cocaine on the front passenger seat of the truck, and a search of a nearby address resulted in the seizure of two more kilos of heroin, two firearms and thousands in cash.
Police did not release the names of the other 22 people arrested, but all are facing drug possession charges.
