Lake Avenue raid results in arrest of city man on drug, gun charges

MANCHESTER, NH – A city man was arrested Oct. 14 following a raid at a Lake Avenue address during which the Police Department’s bearcat was rolled out.

On Friday, October 14, 2016, at approximately 12 p.m. the Manchester Police Department SWAT executed a search warrant at 287 Lake Avenue. The warrant stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Special Enforcement Division into reported drug activity at the address.

Located inside a bedroom at the residence was a man identified as Luis Ramos Torres, 25, who was taken into custody without incident. Torres was charged with three counts of sale of a controlled drug (crack cocaine) and two counts of sale of a controlled drug (heroin). In addition, investigators recovered a loaded 9 mm handgun as well as 6.3 grams of cocaine, 5 gram of heroin and three 50 mg tramadol hydrochloride pills, a pain releiver.

Torres was arraigned Oct. 17 on those charges and is currently being held at the Hillsborough County House of Correction on $25,000 cash/surety bail.
