Currier Museum welcomes new Board of Trustees president

MANCHESTER, NH – The Currier Museum of Art announce that Harry Shepler has been named president of the board of trustees, effective September 1, 2016. He succeeds M. Christine Dwyer who served in that role since 2013.

“The Currier Museum of Art has long been a very important part of my family’s life,” said Shepler. “I am delighted to have the opportunity to give back to a museum that gives so much to the community, both in the art it shows and in its related programming.”

Shepler has served on the Currier’s board of trustees since 2006 and has held numerous leadership roles, including clerk (2011-2012), treasurer (2012-2016) and vice president (2013-2015). He is the principal at Shepler Financial Group, LLC, a financial consultancy in Bedford and is a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and Association of Advanced Life Underwriters.

Shepler holds a master’s degree from Boston University and bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin. He also earned a CLU and ChFC from American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.

The Currier Museum of Art, located at 150 Ash Street, Manchester, N.H., is open every day except Tuesday. The Museum also owns the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Zimmerman House, complete with the original furnishings and the owners’ fine art collection. The Currier Art Center offers studio classes, art camps, Master classes and intensive workshops for all ages.
