Jan. 26 summit at NH Institute of Politics to provide opportunities for businesses to introduce technologies and support national efforts to combat terrorism.
MANCHESTER, NH – Combating Terrorism & High Tech Networking Summit will be held Monday, January 26, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College, 100 Saint Anselm Drive in Manchester.
Attendees include the Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office, In-Q-Tel, and the Defense Intelligence Agency. The event is hosted by U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte and the New Hampshire High Tech Council, as well as the New Hampshire Aerospace and Defense Export Consortium.
“Many New Hampshire small and medium-sized companies have technologies that will better protect the American people, support our troops, and fight terrorism, but these companies just need help navigating the confusing federal acquisition process,” said Ayotte. “This event will connect New Hampshire high technology companies with organizations whose missions are to quickly identify, develop, and field these technologies to protect our country.”
The private companies and government organizations on the agenda will present information on how New Hampshire companies can work with them. After the presentations, the New Hampshire companies in attendance will network one-on-one with the representatives from the organizations. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and one-page descriptions detailing their approaches to and applications for combating terrorism.
“Given recent events domestically and internationally, creating an opportunity for our tech companies to connect directly with federal officials in lead roles in counter terrorism is extremely timely,” said Matt Cookson, the Council’s executive director. “We appreciate Senator Ayotte’s efforts in coordinating this event and look forward to having a strong turnout from the tech sector.”
