MANCHESTER, NH – Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) has installed a Mamava nursing suite, providing privacy for nursing mothers.
Located in the secure area of the airport (post security), near Gate 6, the Mamava pod will serve as a place where nursing travelers and employees can breastfeed or pump in privacy. The Mamava unit is ADA compatible and contains seating, a fold-down table and an electrical outlet to accommodate a lactation pump.
“Traveling and working as a nursing mom is no easy task so it is important to have a clean, comfortable space in which to pump or feed privately,” said Sascha Mayer, CEO and co-founder of Mamava, a woman-owned company based in Burlington, VT.
Airport Director Mark Brewer said the pod is an added convenience for employees and travelers alike.
“We are always looking for ways to improve the customer experience at MHT and the addition of the Mamava suite will ensure that nursing mothers have a private and comfortable space to nurse. The addition of the Mamava lactation suite to our airport will offer a better customer experience and leave a lasting, positive impression on travelers.”
