UPDATE: As of 11:30 a.m. police have deemed McLaughlin Middle School “all clear” following a sweep of the school, after a bomb threat. We’ll bring you more information as it becomes available.
MANCHESTER, NH – Police and school district officials are currently handling a reported bomb threat at McLaughlin Middle School.
According to Manchester Police the school has been evacuated as a precaution. Students are safe, police said. Officers are conducting a sweep of the building. Parents are urged not to go to the building at this time.
Police are advising the public not to call police/schools for information – they believe this is one of several “hoax” threats that have been circulating in NH this week and around the country/world. Children are safe and “the situation will resolve itself as soon as possible,” according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe.
As noted above, this news follows several bomb threats to schools reported around New Hampshire earlier in the week, all of which were resolved without incident.
We’ll update this story as more information becomes available.
